Manifesto

A free society needs free educational resources.

Education should not depend on commercial interests, restrictive licenses, or proprietary tools. Knowledge is a common good, and as such, it must be accessible, modifiable, and shared by all of society.

  1. This project is born with a clear purpose: to spread free educational resources for teachers and students worldwide, promoting open, collaborative, and barrier-free education.
  2. We believe that educational resources should strive for the highest quality in their content (texts, images, programs) while remaining open to critique, improvement, and adaptation by the Educational Community.
  3. We stand for all content being reusable as free culture. Therefore:
    • All content will be distributed under a free license Creative Commons Attribution - ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) version 4.0 or later, ensuring compatibility with projects like Wikipedia and guaranteeing that any derivative work remains free.
    • All developed software will be released under a free GPL version 3.0 or later license.
    • Resources will be created in open formats, and editable files will always be provided, allowing adaptation and improvement.
    • All educational resources will be editable with free tools, without the need for proprietary software.
  4. This project also assumes a strong ethical commitment:
    • No personal or anonymous information will be collected from users.
    • No tracking cookies will be used.
    • There will be no advertising or sponsored content.
    • No financial interest will condition the educational resources.
  5. Technology must serve freedom. Therefore, the website will be built using exclusively free tools and formats, also publishing its source files and prioritizing a simple, fast, and accessible design, even offline, via static pages.
  6. In the pedagogical field, we advocate for inclusive and adaptable education:
    • All theoretical content will be accompanied by practical exercises.
    • For the same content, activities will be offered at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels.
    • The same content must cater to the normal diversity of a classroom and can be used at different educational levels as enrichment, reinforcement, or adapted activities.
  7. We also promote clear, precise, and universal language, facilitating access to knowledge across different cultural and geographical contexts.

This is not just a website. It is a proposal.

An invitation to build, share, and improve truly free education together. Because only a society that shares knowledge can be considered truly free.
